un poco de La Pedrera

Después de Cabo Polonio fui a La Pedrera aunque todos iban a Punta del Este o Montevideo. No sé cuál era lo que me había atraido, pero siempre quería conocer Uruguay y puedo decir que me encontré algo uruguayo en La Pedrera.

La Pedrera es un pueblo atlántico del departamento Rocha. Dicen que La Pedrera todavía no es tan conocido como La Paloma. Cuando llegué ahí no traía ni un peso uruguyo y encima como aún no llegaba verano no funcionaba ningún cajero automático. Así que el primer día en La Pedrera andaba preocupada por lo de plata. Y al principio me dio una impresión como un poco presumida por las casonas que están en la rambla.

Por esta zona no sólo hay playas para surfistas sino también lugares para disfrutar de lagunas, chacras, dunas, aves y etc. Según un informe muy cierto, en verano se puede encontrar con personas famosas como artistas o actores argentinos.

A Guy Shares 50 Backpacking Tips...

Born and raised in the South Island of New Zealand, Dave Dean started travelling over a decade ago and hasn't quite figured how to stop yet. His degree in Political Science and History was obviously the perfect preparation for a career in IT, which has given him the freedom to work around the world and enough internet access to book his next plane ticket. Dave isn't quite sure what he wants to do when he grows up but suspects it may involve sun, beer and a large body of water.

We asked Dave to offer some tips for a traveller's first extended backpacking adventure. At the end of his article we also linked backpacking tips from a woman's point of view. We all can learn from both the male and female ways of looking at this topic.

About to head off and see the world but feeling a bit daunted by the whole thing? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. The great thing is that it really doesn’t have to be that hard – a little knowledge goes a long way. Here’s a few useful tips that I wish I’d known before I went travelling for the first time. Planning and packing...

1. If you’re not sure if you need it, you don’t.

2. If you’re pretty sure you need it, you don’t.

3. If you’re absolutely certain you need it, you probably still don’t.

4. Take more money.

5. Take more pairs of underwear.

6. Take fewer pairs of shoes.

7. If it can’t be worn for three days then washed and dried in a hostel laundry room, don’t bring it.

8. Your airline’s baggage allowance is a limit, not a challenge.

9. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Pack small sizes.

10. If you can’t carry your luggage up a flight of stairs easily by yourself, it’s too heavy. See hints 1, 2 & 3.

11. Make sure your passport has enough pages and validity (> 6 months) to last your entire trip.

12. A little planning is good. For example, accommodation in Europe can be hard to find in peak season.

13. A lot of planning is not. The best experiences are often spontaneous – detailed itineraries don’t allow for that.

14. Aspirin, Band-Aids and Imodium. The traveller’s trifecta.

15. Contraceptives are not the stupidest idea in the world either.

16. Take another memory card for your camera. You’ll need it.

아래 포스팅한 La misma luna 도 그렇고 영어로 옮겨진 것을 그대로 가져다 쓰는 영화들이 너무나 많기에 이젠 할 말도 없지만.. 영어식자층이 그만큼 많다는 것으로 알면 되려나 :P

에스빠냐 영화=뻬드로 알모도바르 라는 공식에 갇혀(본의아니게?)있는 한국의 영화팬들에게 권하고 싶은 에스빠냐 영화 중 하나이다.
제목처럼 영화 속 공간들은 푸르거나 해가 쨍하거나.

주인공 호르헤Jorge의 수위 작업복 색깔(푸른색) 이 결말에서는 그가 그렇게도 원하던 검정색 수트로 바뀌는 장면은 두고두고 기억될 것 같다. *직업은 그대로라는게 아이러니라고 할수도 있겠지만

춘희, 손가락으로 프레임 만들어 여기저기 구도를 잡아본다. 운전대 앞에 놓여있는 시든 장미꽃까지.
철수 : 뭐해? 헷갈리게.
춘희 : 응? (하며 철수 얼굴을 프레임으로 잡아본다)
철수 : 그만 하라니까.
춘희 : 이렇게 하면 다 의미가 있어보여.

철수 : 야, 미술관 같은델 뭐하러 가냐?

....
춘희 : 네모난 창틀 밖으로 보이는 풍경같잖아.

춘희 : 항상 몇 년뒤의 내 나이를 생각해보면 끔찍했는데 막상 그 나이가 됐을때 담담할 수 있는건 나이를 한살씩 먹어서인가봐. 그럼 그다음 나이가 그리 낯설지만은 않거든.
철수 : 나, 참. 무슨 사춘기 소녀라고. 넌 아직도 철이 덜든 것 같아. 옛날같으면 그 나이에...
춘희 : 평균수명이 길어졌으니까 철도 그만큼 늦게 드는 거야, 모두.
